Twelve Pizza Hut team members are coming to Dallas to compete in the FINAL ROUND of the annual Pizza Championships! After winning their restaurant competition, area competition, and regional championships, our contestants from across the country will participate in a live challenge to test their pizza-making skills and see who has what it takes to bring home the dough (pun intended). We’ll be live blogging the event here on Hut Life!

Since June 1, Pizza Hut restaurants around the country have been throwing down to see who is the best at saucing, cheese-ing, and topping a pizza in a limited amount of time. Participants are judged on their ability to prep one medium pizza and one large pizza—with different toppings each time! Part of the challenge is they never know what pizza they’re going to be making until right before the timer starts. Competitors have to complete pizza prep—following all our kitchen procedures accurately and making the pies to a high standard—in four minutes or less.

This year’s grand prize? A trophy, $1,000, and voucher for travel for two within the continental US! Second place receives $500, and third gets $250. Competition will be fierce, and we can’t wait to see how these team members bring the heat next week.
