Pizza Hut Hangs Out at Hangout Fest!

For the second year in a row, Pizza Hut joined the crowds in Gulf Shores, Alabama for a long weekend of sun, sand, and six stages of over 70 killer bands. Hut Life squad’s Natasha Brito, Lincoln Faulkner, and Leslie Hopp joined in on the fun starting Thursday night, hosting festival goers at Pizza Hut’s Flavor Porch, the perfect stopping point for those looking to chill between the two main stages.

The Flavor Porch was decked out in a South Pacific theme, if the South Pacific also had free phone charging stations, cooling mists, and a photo booth, all located centrally to the festival’s best bands. For crowds of over 40,000 over four days, the team handed out screen printed tanks (designed on-site), fanny packs for beach goers unable to stash their phones in their swim trunks, and a surf board giveaway for one lucky winner who tweeted with the hashtag #pizzahuthangout. For the sad people watching the festival from home, Pizza Hut made it easy to eat your feelings by encouraging viewers to tweet #iwantpizza for a chance to win Pizza Hut gift cards.

The festival—hosted in partnership with VH1, MTV, and MTV2—featured some big acts, including Halsey, Joywave, and Elle King. Leslie and Lincoln were on hand to see interviews with Halsey, and Elle King, which you can still catch on the dedicated Hangout Fest page hosted by MTV and VH1.

Lincoln says a highlight was getting a chance to meet the awesome Pizza Hut fans who stopped by the Flavor Porch. With volleyball, board games, and corn hole going on throughout the day—in addition to giving away free shirts—we felt like the coolest kids on the block, with a constant crowd of people stopping by to say hi and hang out. The weekend vibe was pretty chill, as one might expect from a newer music festival on a white sand beach. Everyone was genuinely pumped to hear great music, hang out with friends, and enjoy the sun!
