Ni hao! Sawadika! Namaste! Hola! And JAMBO Hut Life readers! I hope you will all join me in celebrating the opening of Pizza Hut in our 100th country! This is truly a momentous occasion- we are the first pizza company in the world to operate in 100 countries! Tanzania, welcome to the Pizza Hut family!
In true Pizza Hut fashion, we celebrated the occasion in a big way. We’ve delivered to the US capital, to Outer Space and now it was time to set new heights in Tanzania, our 100th country. Our very own Randall Blackford, General Manager of Pizza Hut Africa, members of his team and a group of professional guides hiked to the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro, breaking the Guinness World Record for the highest altitude pizza delivery on land! Our teams around the world also pitched in to make another kind of mark in Tanzania, raising R77,376 ($5,158 USD) for Tanzania’s Msasani Primary School. The Msasani School and their 1,300 students are based in Dar Es Salaam. The funds will be used to help upgrade their facilities and train their teachers.
That’s not all! Outside of Tanzania, Pizza Hut Team Members all around the world joined in on the celebration, making epic deliveries in each of their countries to mark the 100th country milestone. Speaking of our Team Members- while their deliveries were very impressive, I’m most thankful for everything our 300,000 Team Members in 100 countries do to bring our Pizza Hut brand to life every day in our restaurants. I sincerely thank you all of you for your passion and hard work! Congratulations on this very exciting achievement- we could not have made it to the 100th country without you and I am so happy that you are a part of the Pizza Hut brand!
Let’s celebrate and enjoy some of the great photos from our 100th country celebration!
