It’s that time of year again. Pizza Hut is holding our annual equity Pizza Championship on August 17! Eleven Pizza Hut team members will travel to Dallas from all across the nation to compete after winning their restaurant competition, area competition and regional championships.

Participants are judged on their ability to prepare two pizzas. Both product quality and speed are contributing factors to their final score. Just to keep things saucy, toppings vary each time. Competitors have to follow all of our kitchen procedures accurately.

What’s in it for first place? $1,000 and voucher for travel for two within the continental U.S.! Second place receives $500 and third gets $250. Competition will be heated, and we can’t wait to see how these team members bring their knowledge to the championships this week.

Reigning champion Stephanie Mayes will look to defend her title again this year. Other returning competitors include Becky Schrock (last year’s runner up), Charity Reeves and Christian Garcia.
