Lauren Leahy is Chief Legal Officer for Pizza Hut U.S. She joined Pizza Hut in 2013 as Senior Counsel where she contributed in all areas of the business, while focusing her initial work in the areas of business-critical legal agreements and marketing compliance matters. Prior to joining Pizza Hut, Lauren completed a prestigious year-long clerkship for Judge Jennifer Elrod of the US Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit. Prior to that, Lauren worked in Vinson & Elkins’s commercial litigation practice in Dallas, as well as clerked for Judge David Godbey of US District Court for the Northern District of Texas. Lauren exemplifies what it means to lead with smart, heart and courage and has provided strategic legal support on crucial business initiatives during her time with Pizza Hut.
She received her undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University with a B.A. in Political Science and in Corporate Communications and Public Affairs. Following that, Lauren received her law degree from Harvard School of Law. Throughout Lauren’s legal career, she has made substantial contributions to important pro bono matters, including community and human rights initiatives at Harvard and in Dallas. She currently resides in Dallas with her husband Mohammad, their son, Kai and their daughter, Eva.
