Al Litchenburg is Chief Development Officer for Pizza Hut U.S. In this role, he is responsible for all restaurant design and development activity across the United States, including design, architecture, real estate, construction, and franchise support. His vision for making Pizza Hut a growth brand again has led to the creation of new store designs and platforms that are invigorating the brand and its franchisees, as well as leading to net unit growth and transformation. In 2010, Al led the project to build a new Center of Restaurant Excellence, which is home to both Pizza Hut U.S., Pizza Hut International and KFC Global Headquarters.
Prior to joining Pizza Hut in 1993 as an intern architect, Al spent three years in the private sector working for BSW Architects/Engineers in Tulsa, OK, a large design and engineering firm.
Al holds M.A. and B.S. degrees from Oklahoma State University. He received his license to practice architecture in 1994. Al and his wife, Kelli, live in Fairview with their children.
