Alyssa Bailey, a Reidsville 1st grade student, was selected as the nationwide winner of the BOOK IT! Reading Giveaway. She received a $10,000 College Plan because of her commitment to reading. A student at Wentworth Elementary, Alyssa reached her monthly reading goals from October through March of the 2017-2018 program year.

To be eligible for the prize, students across the country had to meet their reading goals set by their teacher all six months of the program and collect all six official stickers in the Reading Journal Award from their local Pizza Hut. After submitting her Reading Journal and stickers at the end of last program year, Alyssa was randomly selected as the winner.
