PIZZA HUT® U.S. RESTAURANTS TO FILL 11,000 JOB OPENINGS

World’s largest pizza restaurant company looking for pizza makers, drivers and store managers

PLANO, Texas (Jan. 19, 2017) – Pizza Hut announced today it expects restaurants to fill up to 11,000 job openings as they head into the hungriest Sunday of the year for pizza fans. With pizza orders typically spiking to record numbers during pro football’s Big Game, having a full bench ready to deliver quick and reliable service is key. The uptick in hiring also reflects Pizza Hut’s commitment to improving the customer experience, fueling restaurant growth and unlocking the best potential in all restaurant employees.

The 11,000 positions estimated to be available are offered by Pizza Hut corporate-owned restaurants and many of the locally-owned and operated franchise restaurants across the country. Positions range from pizza makers, delivery drivers, store managers and more. More information about the job opportunities can be found at Jobs.PizzaHut.com.

“The Pizza Hut system is looking for 11,000 new go-getters to give our fans as positive an experience as possible,” said Kelly McCulloch, Senior Director, Human Resources at Pizza Hut.  “We’re committed to improving the overall customer experience. This starts with our restaurants recruiting top talent, and training team members to perform at their absolute best.”

Pizza Hut and its independent franchisees strive to offer a work environment that sets employees up for success and for growth opportunities. In 2015, Pizza Hut launched the Life Unboxed EDU initiative, helping team members reach their full potential.  This unique program offers all employees—and their families—50 percent off tuition at Excelsior College, the No. 1 ranked college for working adults as ranked by College Factual.

Last year Pizza Hut pledged to grow the number of U.S. store locations to 8,500 – and 20,000 worldwide – over the next several years. The resulting expansion in the number of available positions, and career-building training and education programs offered by franchisees, will help fuel store growth across the country, and help Pizza Hut offer a top-notch customer experience to pizza lovers everywhere.
